The perfect specimen of urban planning, Chandigarh is the best-planned city in the country. The true face of modern India, Chandigarh, is the manifestation of a dream that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru envisaged and Le Corbusier executed. The city derives its name from the temple of "Chandi Mandir" located in the vicinity of the area selected for the city. 'Chandi', the goddess of power and a fort of 'garh' laying beyond the temple gave the city the name "Chandigarh - The City Beautiful".

Chandigarh, so far, is the only city in the country that has the perfect balance of lush green areas and concrete. I recently travelled to this beautiful city to visit my cousin sister. Since it was my first time in the city, I was pretty excited and no doubt the reputation of this city precedes it.
Though I was visiting my cousin, I decided to stay at a hotel. Thankfully, unlinke other cities, finding the best accommodation in Chandigarh is not that tough. I stayed at The Fern Residency, Chandigarh which is a 3-Star hotel in Chandigarh. This is one of the best hotels near Dariya Reserved Forest, Chandigarh. Hospitaity-wise, the moment you’ll enter the hotel you’ll feel so-like-home and the comforts of their rooms will help you unwind and relax.
Most of the day, my cousin and I would explore the ‘The City Beautiful’ and the evenings, we’ll be exploring the hotel. Now the next time, I’m in Chandigarh, I don’t have to worry about the accommodation.
