A small town in Ratnagiri, Dapoli is a beautiful land know to just a few. Dapoli is the perfect holiday destination for a beach vacation. With a sandy beach extending from Dabhol in the south and Kelshi in the north, Dapoli is known for its pristine beaches. This place has also earned an important place in the history of India. Murud, a small village in Dapoli served as the British military camp during the second World War.

During a weekend getaway, we friends decided to explore this beautiful town. We drove from Pune by car. The 4 hours drive was really amazing. Being it our first time in the city, we booked our stay at The Fern Samali Resort, Dapoli. This is one of the most pouplar upscale Dapoli resorts near beach that is into environment practices.
This resort is located on top of a hill surrounded by the Konkan's beautiful greenery and perfectly depicts the local tradiotions. In total, there are 16 well-maintained cottages in this resort, each room has its own veranda overlooking the Arabian Sea. What I liked the most about this resort is their Lilian cottages, these cottages have an open-sky bathroom that has its own lily pond and wall garden.
This beautiful resort is also the home to the most famous restaurant in Dapoli. There restaurant is always full, we had to wiat for almost an hour to get a table which was not a bummer as the food that was served to us was worth waiting for.
Though our tip was too short, but I have definitely fallen in love with this resort and would love to go back for another stay!
